My husband John and I have lived at Runaway Point since 1999.  In my professional career, prior to retiring in 2017, I was a Project Manager at IBM and I also worked as a Director of Development for several non-profits.  Being a board member is a privilege and an excellent opportunity to contribute to our community. It continues to be imperative that both older and newer owners participate with their board so ideas can be shared and as owners, we understand why and how decisions that affect all of us here are made.  I want to continue serving on the HOA board, working with others to keep our community moving forward in positive ways.

My name is Cliff Puckett and I have been living in the Lakes for over 20 years. I have served on the Runaway Point HOA Board for a few years now. In addition to ensuring that appropriate processes are followed by the board, I am very interested in bringing new ways of doing business to the Board.

More importantly I am interested in hearing condo owners’ ideas of enhanced ways of doing business and being a part of getting those ideas implemented. My background is Public Safety in which I have served for 40 years. During this time, I have been appointed on numerous boards and commissions by the Arizona Governor and served on many other regional and national committees relating to the Fire Service and Emergency Management. This experience has taught me how to work through complicated issues, with people with very diverse ideas, and manage the process in a professional and respectful manner

My name is Margot D’Souza. We purchased our condo unit at Runaway Point in 2017. I would like to serve on the HOA Board to stay in the loop of what is going on with our HOA community. As a public servant for over thirty years, I am dedicated to creating a healthy, safe community to live in. I currently work for the State of Arizona as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and have been married to my husband for 37 years. He recently retired as a State Trooper.

My husband, Conner and I moved to the community in 2020. As first-time homebuyers, we knew we had found a truly special place when we first stepped into our home in Runaway Point. I’ve been on the board for a short time and have enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about our members and contribute to the community. My background is in web design, and I am currently finishing up a degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. I want to continue forward.

My wife and I moved to The Lakes in 2003, first owning a home on Rocky Point, then moving to Runaway Point in 2008. Our 5 children are grown and scattered across the US, so we split our time between Tempe and our farm in Wisconsin.  I remain actively employed in the animal health industry, traveling and working across the US. We are committed to local involvement through organizations like Rotary and local libraries. Serving on the board of directors is a chance to give back, to stay involved and to assist in maintaining the vigor and health of our homes. I look forward to active participation and interactions with the members of Runaway Point.
